Hey there.
As promised, I'm back with a new post! :) sorry, still no pictures in this one. You'll understand why.
My laptop is officially unusable anymore. The hard disk was fried and ultimately self destructed, deleting everything in the process. And by everything, I mean everything. All my 10,000++ songs, my priceless photos, my assignments and work in progress. A lifetime worth of memories and hard work ): it's really sad that I had to lose all of it the hard way. The laptop was a good companion and I used (and misused) it almost daily for the past 2 and a half years. But I guess nothing lasts forever and I just have to move on. That being said, back up your data, people! You have no idea what it feels like to lose everything!
When dad took my laptop to the IT store to fix, they told him the costs to replace the hard disk was unnecessary and I was better off buying a new one. Mixed emotions overwhelmed me as I was still heartbroken at the fact that they could not retrieve anything at all. Yet, starting all over again with a brand new laptop seemed like too good of a way out. I chose a laptop that I really liked. It was a HP Pavilion with Beats audio. I decided to wait, for what exactly, I'm not sure. Dad too, agreed that we should wait :')
So with no laptop and all my work for the upcoming events I'm handling now gone, I'm looking forward to the challenges I know I will face when the new semester starts tomorrow. Already, I'm feeling the toll of not having my own personal space and privacy with my own laptop as Sam has so generously allowed me to use hers for the time being. But enough about that. Tomorrow will be the start of new things, new beginnings (as I say so every new semester :p)!
With my university applications to settle, three completely new subjects to conquer, almost five events to handle, I see myself to be in constant Superwoman-mode in the next three months or so. Not to forget, the blog shop that Elaine and I are thinking of starting plus the food and travel project that JoBen, Jeremy, Sam and I were keen about. Will update more about those later :)
To make matters worse, I don't have my own car to drive around anymore (don't ask why) and effectively crippling me in terms of freedom to go wherever I want. Dad will be sending me to and from college so there goes any parties, gatherings, random outings or anything of the sort. Sigh.

I guess it's a blessing in disguise that the boyfriend is not around. I get to focus on everything that I need to do here, and without the added distraction (a good one), I might be able to pull through. I do miss him though, some nights are harder than most, but I know we'll both pull through. If you're reading this baby, you know I love you always ♥
If you're wondering why I have a picture of birds flying around freely as my header, I suppose I was drawn to the irony of the whole thing, with it being my last day of so-called freedom. Oh well. I think I've said enough for now. Till the next blog post.
Au revoir.
